Spent the day in Louisville taking some photos for save the date cards. We will do their full engagement sessions later, but we needed to get some save the dates out right away so that no one would miss their special wedding day
. We spent about thirty minutes out in the Louisville cold to capture some of these. We will do lots more when it’s warmer. Here are some of the favorite from the mini engagement session

Here’s a little save the date that i made for their wedding.

Thanks Jessie and Ross, see you in the spring for some more photo fun.

February 16, 2010There are some brave souls out there… willing to go out into the wintery mess of Louisville and play in the snow for some fun-filled engagement photos. After seeing an amazing engagement photography session IN the SNOW!!! – by the fabulous Bobbi + Mike – i was so inspired to do some myself. So, you can imagine how thrilled i was to have Jenna and Nate call me and ask if they can get some photos in the snow!! woo hoo They were pretty excited too!

January 24, 2010Just a little side note… that i forgot to mention. One of my roomies got engaged over the holidays!!!!! woo hoo. Her boyfriend asked if he could get in our house to decorate her room (wink). Yes, girls totally know the code – it’s not really that hard to figure out when a guy says he wants to decorate– HA. And she was so surprised ..i heard her yell… Yes
!!!!! Soon, i will get to do their engagement photos.
And then the very next day, another friend got engaged. There have also been several more. Love is just all around me
I had to grab some photos of the happy girls!! and, of course, show off the bling!!

And their fellas are so amazing. I’m so excited i get to participate in celebrating both couples by doing their photography. So, you will definitely see these couples again!!! All together now on the count of three

I may have to practice with Ari (the guy on the end:) haha. One more time….

I wonder who will be next
Favorite 2009 Weddings
January 14, 2010I pretty much love all the brides i get to work beside. I am absolutely honored that they choose me to be their wedding photographer. A wedding can be a pretty intimate time for a couple and it is a privilege to get to be a part of their special day and capture those moments through photography. 2009 was my first official year as a Louisville wedding photographer so I am thrilled to show you some of my favorite moments and photos from these weddings which are in Louisville, Cincinnati and random other parts of KY. I have included some engagement photos as well.
Jessi and Josh – so much fun running around louisville getting these amazing shots that so captured their personality.

yes, they are in a dryer ![]()

Amy and Jay had an outdoor Louisville wedding with lots of rain threats but it all worked perfectly in the end.

This is one of my favorite engagement photos because of both their faces. Ha.. she is so sassy and he is liking it ![]()

love the colors .. so summery
I made up that word but feel free to use it.

This couple and I traveled to Indiana for these amazing shots… and amazing LIGHT!!!

Seriously, one of my favorite photos of 2009!!

I love the fun and playfulness in this photo!

Some favorite bridal party Photos:

Amanda and Jamie are the couple i got to spend the most time with.. they hired me to do several events with them the week of their wedding. I had so much fun with them.. and really developed a friendship. I even came up with an idea for his grooms cake which Jamie absolutely loved and did
haha. Their bridal party was so much fun too .. we laughed so much and i really enjoyed getting to know them and their families.

I have many more!!! but for the sake of this exceedingly long post .. i will only share a few more of my favorites

this guy came up at the end of their first couple dance.. haha.. who does that? very entertaining tho ![]()

And probably one of my all time favorites of 2009 wedding photography

Can’t wait to see what 2010 looks like!!
Love is in the Air
December 13, 2009Ah.. love. i LOVE it. Seriously i am a sucker for it. That is why i am a photographer.. because i like to celebrate love, engagements, family and weddings
– i love LOVE!! ha – i know.. such a girl. However, i must say that one of my favorite parts about photography is when i can show people how beautiful they are and capture their personal moments that celebrate relationships. Just recently, i photographed an engaged couple who both are not fond of having their pictures taken. I had to get creative to get them to loosen up. We had a great time running around Louisville taking photos.. i even was able to get them acting natural and interacting together. But the best compliment ever is when a couple is overjoyed by their pictures – they were so surprised. But they shouldn’t be – i am just capturing them at their best in good light
Here are Amanda and Wayne in their Louisville e-session.

Nothing like a good ole fashioned leaf fight. Ha.

I felt like we were on a movie set with all the right props just where we needed them ![]()

cute little interaction here. Amanda gets embarrassed.

i love the way he is looking at her in this one.

Ah.. louisville, i am so glad there are so many colors on your buildings. This is one of my favorites from this engagement session. Yellow!

i knew Amanda loved black and whites, so here are few just for her!!

The best part about this couple.. is i also get to do their WEDDING!!! woo hoo. See you soon… and see how gorgeous you two are!!
