Yet, we were able to get a great photographs despite the Louisville weather. Looking forward to her wedding which is coming up so soon!! Here are some of my favorite engagement photos. favorite!! i saved the laying down ones til last… wet grass.. Amy and Brett were great!! Looking forward to your wedding!!

Here’s a little peek at a Louisville Engagement Photography session…
More to come….. :)

One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is taking engagement photos. The engagement photo session allows the photographer to get to know the bride and groom and get a feel for who they are before the wedding. I also find that engagement sessions helps the bride and groom become more comfortable with their wedding photographer so that you end up with some amazing shots. That’s what happened with Emily and Luke as they began to be comfortable with me and get creative and make suggestions by their end of their shoot. So enjoyed getting to know them. And i am looking forward to their Louisville WEDDING in just a few weeks!!!

We spent the day in Louisville and had so much fun. Luke really surprised me when he showed up with his uniform on.. it totally changed the game plan for the day! And we went to Old Louisville and St. James Park to match what he was wearing with the best background. Here are some of my favorites.

I love Emily’s sass!! Her personality is so bubbly and fun.. she is adorable. I like how Luke is keeping his composure.. “like he has been trained”… but i think he may have a soft spot for some little cutey!!

And since they were dressed for the part.. we just had to try and redo a classic shot. Pretty close.. We did pretty good from memory!!
i loved the shoes!!
Can’t wait for your WEDDING in a few weeks!!!

Amanda is the bride that has got everything together.. she booked me as her wedding photographer about 16 months in advance! Her Louisville wedding is coming this October and I just know it will be fabulous!!! We had an amazing engagement photography session at Yew Dell Gardens, just outside of Louisville. The flowers and barn style buildings at Yew Dell made for great photographs. Here are some of my favorites:
I just love their interactions with each other.. so cute. So, brett made fun of me for having them lay in this hallway :) but they are some of my favorite photos. Look at them rocking it out!! hello hotties
Gorgeous!!

So excited to be their Wedding Photographer in October. Thanks for a great day!!

Here’s a Louisville engagement photography session that i am finishing right now, but i couldn’t help but share this super cute picture of emily and luke. Emily knew how to work the camera… adorable!!

Here is a little peek at an Engagement shoot i am working on…. Stay tuned – many more to come. :)

I have known these two since before they were a couple. I have been able to watch them from Ross pursuing Jessie to Jessie getting all flutter-pated about Ross. (flutter-pated is when you can’t stop grinning and you talk in a high voice). Talk to some couples who are falling in love and you will see what i mean :) . It’s adorable!! I even helped get the house ready so that Ross could propose :) !!!! So, here they are engaged and about to get married on JULY 31!!! woo hoo!! Yeah.. it’s great – i am so happy for them. I am looking forward to celebrating with them at the wedding. Here are some of the fun photos from their Louisville Engagement Photo shoot :) We went to the Mellwood Art Center to play around. Love it there.. such a fun environment!!
Who is too cool for school? ok, maybe i am with a statement like that .. haha.
Then we went to downtown Louisville to play near the Galt House In case you didn’t know – Ross is a little mischievous – you will see more evidence as the day goes on.
One request that Ross made for his engagement pictures was for some pictures to be taken on a playground. These are just for you Ross!! If you haven’t noticed.. jessie has some poppin blue eyes!! Ah-Mazing!! Check out this old spanish style church.. i am convinced Conquistadors used to roam these here parts :D !! what did i tell you… check out the second picture – Mischievous.. i think so!! Hello Flutter-pated couple :)
Leave it to Jessie and Ross to find the stairs to nowhere (sounds like a bad movie).

work it :)

Goodnight Louisville.. we had a fun engagement shoot today :) And Congratulations Jessie and Ross!! Your wedding will be awesome!! I enjoyed taking your engagement photos!!

This couple is absolutely adorable together.. and so was their engagement photo shoot. Here is a sneak peak of the engaged couple.

Someone is gettin’ Hitched!!!! That’s how us kentucky folk say it anyway :) Another thing us Kentucky folk like to do is go on picnics. So, as i was talking with Kelly about what we would do on our way fun Engagement Photo Shoot – we decided a picnic would have to be somewhere in the mix. Kelly and John love wine so we incorporated that into their engagement session (no not the drinking it.. haha – we just represented with a bottle :) ! We started in Oldham County which is just outside of Louisville.. to get the rolling fields and picnic type atmosphere.

Kelly’s eyes are awesome in this photo!! Hello Gorgeous!!This is what i call a Manly Photo.. i texture it and make it black and white… you know, beat it up a little. Give it that tough guy feel.
A little RING BLING!!

Hey Louisville, do you know what Kentucky’s state flower is ……?? I will give you a hint :)

IT”S GOLDENROD.. big fields of it!! Seriously i have been wanting to use this field for the last month. I am so glad we got to it, before they all died.
awwww… :) These are straight outa camera… I think they are cute here ..plus it’s a great way to preface where this was….

I found a merry-go-round!!!! Some guy in the park.. willingly pushed us in a circle whilst i took these… And he pushed us fast. Needless to say, I felt a little woosy afterwards, but it was so worth it!!
I’m dizzy all over again… haha. After, we headed to downtown Louisville to capture the city side of this couple. And yes, they rocked it out!!

Wasn’t it nice of the city of Louisville to put up all these fun colors for their engagement photos?? i thought so :) Practicing for the big day :)

We had so much fun all over Louisville. It was hard to pick a favorite Photo of this engagement session. But if i had to choose…

So excited to be the photographer at their wedding at the end of the summer!! Can’t WAIT!!!
