I have to admit that taking photos of children is probably the hardest for me. As a children’s photographer, I have to be on the move so that i don’t miss anything. I have crawled on the floor, i have rolled in the grass.. i have jumped up and down (while taking pictures).. i have made goofy faces and noises — just to try and get a reaction for a brief moment. haha. Children’s photography is fun but exhausting. Imagine my surprise to walk in and have this little girl – take my hand and proceed to show me around. I said smile and she did, i said laugh and she did. She was the easiest child i have ever photographed. Seriously.. she made this way easy. I mean i did have to get in the bathtub… but overall the easiest photoshoot i have had with children. Here are the highlights…
Favorite photo alert Here’s the baby sister.. i’m counting on her older sis to show her the ropes of being photogenic :) bathtime!! i may have gotten a little wet :) haha cousin Eli came by for a visit :) someone’s getting tired
goodbye you two.. thanks for letting me be your photographer :)

Here’s a photoshoot of an amazing family that i have had the privilege to know. This is the first time I have had to meet Abraham… I knew their parents from graduate school at Southern Seminary in Louisville. However, the reason i am doing this photography session is because one of my favorite professors at Southern is Dr. David Sills – the grandpa of Abraham – wanted some pictures of his grandson before he sends this family overseas to help with a new ministry he has started called reaching and teaching. I will be doing a prayer card for them as well… but for now here are some photos from their Louisville Family Photography session. The first one.. he so looks like a theologian :) don’t you think?Yes, this one is the result of my crazy mind :) Grandpa will like this one. haha

so i totally got confused on Peak and Peek today.. i had a brain freeze and wondered if i had been using it wrong this whole time.. lol. i actually had to look it up, but thankfully i’m good :) haha. I wanted to give you PEEK at a family photography session that i am working on. We had a lot of fun hanging around Louisville Seminary where they both graduated (and me too, for that matter). They are going overseas shortly and i am also working on a prayer card for them.. so stay tuned :) .

LIAM is 1 years old and he just moved away from Louisville. Well… i couldn’t miss him turning 1 – i’m his personal photographer.. haha. I have been able to photograph him twice so far in his life and hopefully many more years to come. Check out his earlier baby photography session. He is adorable and i so loved getting to celebrate him turning one!! Here are some of my favorites. Say hi to the folks, Liam.

he is still learning to walk.. so he alternates between the crawling and walking.. here he is in what i like to call a ‘cralk’. one of my faves.. Thanks Liam and Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Liam!! I took his baby photos just about 4 mo’s ago. So, it was fun to see how he has grown. Here is a sneak peek of his baby photography session.

Let me introduce you to a little precious girl… Ellie. i was just thinking how i hadn’t done any baby pictures in a while when i got a call from the King family and walla.. i had the wonderful gift of celebrating a newborn :) !! Here are some of my favorites from the family photography shoot we did last week in Louisville.

her big brother had to get in the mix too!!
These next pictures began with this statement. Me (hesistantly).. ‘well. i have an idea but i’m not sure about it… ‘ (I was kinda scared to even suggest it. ) She said, oh what is it? Me… “well. i would love to have to her above the family sign but that may be too scary.” Mom. “She barely moves- she will be fine. That is a great idea.” I was pretty excited.. and mom was completely right she didn’t even move.. except to cry eventually from being on a hard surface. And they are some of my favorite pictures.

It was actually more fearsome for baby brother to hold her.. haha. he tried to hold her nicely tho.. he just wasn’t sure what to do with her :)

More faves….

Thanks King family.. i enjoyed getting to know you and celebrating your new little girl!!! long day.. wasn’t it ellie? :)

The King Family has a new addition – Ellie – more to come :)

Started off the day bright and early on Frankfort Avenue. (one of my favorite parts of Louisville) My mission – maternity photos for a couple whose style was both funky and vintage. I planned out the day… i thought about the photos to take. Then, I asked Amy to bring props – well… she outdid herself and then some. And it made for an awesome and fun photo shoot!!! They made my job as their photographer so easy!! And they are adorable together!! Amy and Chad are awaiting their first born – Ezekiel (Zeek for short). And guess when the little fella is due… June 25 – a day after my birthday!!! He’s going to be cool kid :) and he’s going to have a great family. Here is a glimpse of the fun we had all around Louisville.
we found these old cars.. vintage.. oh yes :)

PROPS!!  This made me so happy!!

Amy likes blue and orange :)
Zeek’s first stuffed animal!!

I so enjoyed being your maternity photographer. Any moment now.. little zeek will arrive.. mom and dad are ready with their bags packed :) Can’t wait to meet him!!

Here is a little sneak peak of an awesome maternity photography session i did in Louisville. This will be Ezekiel’s first stuffed animal :)

More to come!!

Little babies are so adorable….. i can’t believe i get paid to be a photographer. I love photography and i get to hold babies, play with children, capture that toe-tingling affection between a newly engaged couple and forever make weddings memorable through doing what i love to do.. take photos. It is definitely a joy to be able to be a photographer and show you all these amazing Louisville people and little people that i meet. This Ivy – she is all baby girl with her little hair bows and little wavy curls in her hair. She is 1 years old.. and lots of energy and wonder. Her Daddy is completely wrapped around her finger.. i caught it in a picture :) . I couldn’t resist snapping this as he watched his baby play. He was completely unaware that i was photographing him.

Yep.. Daddy is a little taken with his baby girl.

She loves books

One of her favorite games is taking all the books off the shelf
