Favorite Seniors 2009
January 7, 2010Sand Mtn’s and Skeletons
December 13, 2009And did i mention turkey feathers and street signs? What do these have in common? One guy -Mark. Mark is a student at the Southern Seminary in Louisville and he wanted to get some pictures for his mom. But, of course, he wanted to take some off the wall photos to give his Mom first before he gives her the nice ones
Boys like to tease their Moms and i can just imagine her face as he gives some of the ones i am about to show you. Not to worry Mom.. good ones are coming. Here are a few from our louisville photography session – I hope you have as much fun viewing them as i did taking them.

I love the dark look of this one. Black and White Photos Rock… It’s very edgy. Actually- I like the whole next series of these black and whites.

And this one reminds me of James Dean – am i showing my age with that one? maybe ![]()

As we were driving around Louisville, we found this awesome mountain of sand. It only seemed fitting that we get out the snowboard and give it a whirl.

It was great day. This was definitely something i have never done before in a photography session.
See you soon Mark.

And here you go Mom.. see there are some nice ones in this mix too. Enjoy your present.

Lexi | Senior Pics
October 28, 2009Went out to Boone County – my old stomping ground- to take senior pictures for Lexi. Lexi is a senior at Ryle High School but she lives way out in Boone County on a farm. We had so much fun. She plays piano at her church so we had to incorporate her baby grand
Tell me if you think she looks like Jasmine Star in this picture.
Such a pretty senior girl. It always amazes me how different each photography shoot can be and how personalities show through – Lexi had such a classic look and it shows.

And what would a senior picture be without a sledge hammer!!

or some cars!! Her dad has 3 girls and no boys – this is why the girls are tom boys
. He also named his semi trucks after each one of the girls.

And we all know how much i love barns! Fortunately – i live in KY – so i have ample supply.

This is one of my favorite senior pictures.

Out in Boone County – there is not a lot of traffic – so it was easy to get these photos,

Her Dad gave her a tire swing for Xmas. We had to play ![]()

Kentucky in the fall is really amazing – It was a great day to take senior pictures.

We also played on this big green tractor – any songs come to mind ![]()

And here’s a little evidence that gas used to only cost .99 cents — remember the days.

Thanks Lexi for a great day – enjoyed being your photographer – have a great senior year. Hope you win lots more track medals!!

and study hard!

Louisville |Senior Pictures | Kelsey
October 1, 2009First of all, i have ever mentioned how much i love to do senior pictures. I have so much fun every time. I think having a background in youth ministry really helps in this area, plus seniors are always so fun and willing to try crazy things like doing yoga on the railroad or exploring abandoned farmhouses. Ha! yep! Girls like Kelsey are one of the reasons that i love being a wedding and portrait photographer. We did this senior photography session all over louisville – from east louisville to west Louisville. Yep… from the farm lands to the city : Senior Pictures here – Senior Pictures there. Here are some of the highlights. Love the cool vintage photo affect on this one.

A classic senior picture – the grandparents always like these the best.

Me: Kelsey why don’t you chase all those geese. Kelsey: COOL

these next two pictures are awesome. two very distinct different sides of Kelsey.. love being able to capture that as a photographer

love the sun flare on this picture

last but not least.. i like the feel of this one!!

which one do you like? for slide show.. go here!
