Had so much fun being the wedding photographer for this Louisville couple. We started off at Duncan Memorial in Oldham County and from there went to Kavanaugh Retreat Center for the Reception. A wonderful wedding.. i cried a couple of times. I wasn’t the only one.. :) Just simple and beautiful.. that is how i would describe this Louisville wedding.
Toe freckles..you will have to ask them about this. Here you go guys :)

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!!

Went out to Fox Hollow right outside of Louisville to photograph an awesome couple on their wedding day. I absolutely LOVE this couple and I had so much fun being their engagement and wedding photographer. They are adorable. I told Claudia that is just plain wrong that one bride can be that cute in every picture. And Fox Hollow was perfect for their Wedding Day – it started off raining but cleared up just in time for photographs. YAY!! Here are some of the fun photos for their day!

I couldn’t decide which dress picture i liked better Ari couldn’t stop talking about how when he first saw Claudia walk in wearing her wedding dress.. that she looked so beautiful like an angel. It was so sweet to hear him go on and on. I love LOVE!! On most of these pictures, i just couldn’t decide so i just included all of them – haha.
Claudia makes cakes and cupcakes -she’s amazing. Look how colorful and cute these cupcakes are…. Remember what i said about her being adorable… she is so much fun :) Let the dancing begin…..
Congratulations Claudia and Ari on a wonderful wedding.. here’s to an even better marriage!! Loved being your photographer :)

Just wanted to give you a little preview of the engagement session with kelly and John this past weekend in Louisville, KY.   Such a fun couple.. can’t wait to do their wedding coming this August.

YOU”RE ENGAGED!!!!! Now what? Well, you have a lot to do and many things can be overwhelming as you have to make many decisions regarding your wedding and what is best for you. One of those decisions is figuring out which Wedding Photographer to use. Here are some things to consider as you make those big choices regarding choosing the wedding photographer that is right for you. I asked a few of my friends (Jacobess Photography and Shannon Kelley Photography) who are also in the wedding photography business to give their feedback as well.

1. * What should a bride look for in a photographer?
Aside from great photography and a style you like, a bride should look for personal connection since the photographer will be with her on a very important day and sharing some intimate moments, it’s important that she feels comfortable with her photographer.

2. * Why is important to make an investment in photography for your wedding?
The photography often gets a small budget because so much of the budget goes toward other things – but it’s important to see photography as one of your biggest investments because you will have the photos for the rest of your life.

3. * What are some things to watch out for when choosing a photographer?
Look for hidden costs, it’s important that a photographer be straight with you about their charges. Also, look for good reviews from previous clients. And finally view a wedding that they have shot from start to finish.

4. * Is it important to order an album up front or just get one later?
I think it is important to budget for one in the beginning, otherwise it can be put to the side and forgotten for years. Plan on getting that accomplished within the first year (if not before).

5. * Should you have a second photographer at your wedding?
I think a second photographer is so important to the ceremony itself as it allows for less disruption, different perspectives and more photos.

6. * What’s a good amount to budget for photography?
It depends on how much you want your photographer around.. some brides plan wedding events all week and want a photographer to be at everything which is wonderful yet will add to the cost. I have read some articles that say 10% – 20% is ideal for a wedding photographer. The important thing to remember that out of everything.. the part that you will keep forever in well.. your husband, haha. And your photos. So, it’s important to consider that when choosing a budget for photography. I say if it costs a little more to get amazing photography then it’s worth it in the end.

7. * What will help the photographer in getting great shots for your big day?
relax and enjoy the day, see each other before the wedding and your pictures will be amazing.

Hope this helps.. and HAPPY PLANNING!!!!
