Favorite 2009 Weddings
January 14, 2010I pretty much love all the brides i get to work beside. I am absolutely honored that they choose me to be their wedding photographer. A wedding can be a pretty intimate time for a couple and it is a privilege to get to be a part of their special day and capture those moments through photography. 2009 was my first official year as a Louisville wedding photographer so I am thrilled to show you some of my favorite moments and photos from these weddings which are in Louisville, Cincinnati and random other parts of KY. I have included some engagement photos as well.

Amanda and Jamie are the couple i got to spend the most time with.. they hired me to do several events with them the week of their wedding. I had so much fun with them.. and really developed a friendship. I even came up with an idea for his grooms cake which Jamie absolutely loved and did haha. Their bridal party was so much fun too .. we laughed so much and i really enjoyed getting to know them and their families.
I have many more!!! but for the sake of this exceedingly long post .. i will only share a few more of my favorites

Ryland Heights Wedding | Ed and Sara
October 19, 2009Ed and Sara were so sweet. After they saw each other for the first time on the Ryland Heights Golf Course, they could not stop grinning. A few times i asked them to try and be serious.. but it was almost impossible for them not to grin. They are so in Love. It was really precious all day. They really wanted to have the wedding outside because Ryland Heights is beautiful especially for a wedding. They also requested lots of black and white photos, so of course I was happy to oblige. They both love golf too, so having it on the Ryland Golf Course was very personal for them as a couple. I am so glad i had the privilege to be their wedding photographer. I love outdoor weddings and i had a great time being their photographer for the day.
When i first arrived, the family was putting up the finishing touches.
Then i visited with Sara who was extremely calm and relaxed and just plain ole.. excited!! here is her gorgeous dress.
Her Dad flew planes for the air force, so this wedding picture honors that
Then we went for the first sight. A lady from Ryland Heights was so sweet to set up her home for them. What makes it even more special was that this lady is trying to overcome cancer – fighting this disease is a cause which both Ed and Sara are passionate about. The house was beautiful and we spent some time in there enjoying what she had created in her quaint little Ryland home.
And they love golf and biking- so we did some pics honoring their favorite hobbies

October 7, 2009Just returned from a wedding at Ryland Heights Country Club where the wedding was just off the golf course. Sara and Ed love golf so having a wedding at Ryland Heights Golf Course was perfect for them. Here is a little preview:

October 1, 2009In a few days, i head back to the beautiful rolling hills of Ryland Lakes Heights in Kentucky to shoot a glorious outdoor fall wedding. They have even decided to close some areas off so as to maximize the outdoor scenery for a perfect wedding experience. Lakes, Golf course, railroad tracks, bridges – pretty much everything a wedding photographer could want for great outdoor fall pictures. Shooting outdoor weddings is pretty much my favorite, as a photographer. You can expect a few pictures from a Ryland Lakes Heights, Kentucky wedding soon. I can’t wait. Stay tuned.
