Let me introduce you to a little precious girl… Ellie. i was just thinking how i hadn’t done any baby pictures in a while when i got a call from the King family and walla.. i had the wonderful gift of celebrating a newborn :) !! Here are some of my favorites from the family photography shoot we did last week in Louisville.

her big brother had to get in the mix too!!
These next pictures began with this statement. Me (hesistantly).. ‘well. i have an idea but i’m not sure about it… ‘ (I was kinda scared to even suggest it. ) She said, oh what is it? Me… “well. i would love to have to her above the family sign but that may be too scary.” Mom. “She barely moves- she will be fine. That is a great idea.” I was pretty excited.. and mom was completely right she didn’t even move.. except to cry eventually from being on a hard surface. And they are some of my favorite pictures.

It was actually more fearsome for baby brother to hold her.. haha. he tried to hold her nicely tho.. he just wasn’t sure what to do with her :)

More faves….

Thanks King family.. i enjoyed getting to know you and celebrating your new little girl!!! long day.. wasn’t it ellie? :)

Little babies are so adorable….. i can’t believe i get paid to be a photographer. I love photography and i get to hold babies, play with children, capture that toe-tingling affection between a newly engaged couple and forever make weddings memorable through doing what i love to do.. take photos. It is definitely a joy to be able to be a photographer and show you all these amazing Louisville people and little people that i meet. This Ivy – she is all baby girl with her little hair bows and little wavy curls in her hair. She is 1 years old.. and lots of energy and wonder. Her Daddy is completely wrapped around her finger.. i caught it in a picture :) . I couldn’t resist snapping this as he watched his baby play. He was completely unaware that i was photographing him.

Yep.. Daddy is a little taken with his baby girl.

She loves books

One of her favorite games is taking all the books off the shelf

The family redid their upstairs bathroom and i could not resist getting some photos to show off their clawfoot tub and checkered tile floors.

Thanks for allowing me the privilege of being your photographer for the day.. what a great family!!

I must admit that shoots with children make me nervous… especially when there are a lot of kids. It’s because you never know what to expect and i want to do a great job for you as your photographer… so i get nervous. But each session always turns out wonderful… and there are lot of funny moments and great photos of children. The extended Dabney family gets together every two weeks to hang out as a family.. which i think is just plain awesome. The Grandma asked me to get photos of her grandbabies – all 9 of them! i was happy to oblige.

Here are a few from the session.. please take a moment and just enjoy all the interactions and distractions in these photos. Kids are so much fun!!

This one did not want his photo taken.. notice his absence in the first photo. He was rather skeptical but by the end.. he warmed up.

Favorite photos alert!!! the whole series makes me laugh. They are so cute.. and check out the pudgy legs.

Thanks Dabney family for letting me be your photographer- I had a great time and the fried chicken wasn’t bad either :) Here’s one for grandma :)

Elias is now 6mo.’s old!! woot! i have taken pictures of him since before birth.. no i am not an ultrasound technician – but i did take some maternity photos for his parents and then his newborn shots. We are quite close you might say!! Here are some of him growing up… you may notice that he has a favorite expression. Mouth open!! haha. so cute.
I found him in his crib this morning.. talking to his mobile.

His mobile just might be his best friend :)

i had to turn him over so that he would look at me!

Time to get dressed Eli… or should i say farmer Eli.

I guess the crops didn’t do so well this year.. someone is a little cranky.

I have a feeling, this won’t be the last time Eli takes a ride in the wheelbarrow. It may the last time for his mom tho… lol.

time to change the clothes..new clothes always make me happy :)

I feel like he wants to have an intellectual conversation with me here.

Adorable.. looking at his daddy!!

i think this is so funny. He is trying to get his son to smile.. i love it. i think WE ALL smiled :)

such a happy baby!!

beautiful mom!!

More favorites .. just thought i would warn you.

I love how his eyes light up when his mom starts whispering in his ear :) so presh!!

Thanks for letting me be your photographer, ELI… i am sure i will see you again :)

I met a little boy from Greenville, Indiana who didn’t know the word slow or stop.. haha. Seriously – he was a consistent bundle of energy from the time i arrived til he went down for a nap!! And i needed a nap too!! haha. He was adorable.. and constantly moving. I don’t know how his parents do it every day. Here are some photos of my adventures in Greenville with Jacob and his family :)

His dad and his grandpa built this amazing slide that went out from the upper deck. It was so cool!!!

He likes to hide in this 2 foot bush. He was hard to find :)

By the way.. this sweet family may just have an announcement here soon!!

if you still can’t figure it out.. you may just wanna read his shirt!!

I love seeing a couple in love – he said ‘i love you’ twice to his wife while I was there. So sweet!! Yes, we girls notice things like that.. and it was just awesome to see a guy just so in love with his wife.

Jacob loves hats and doesn’t seem to mind that he can’t see.. he just tilts his head back and walks around.

What a great family!! Thanks so much for letting me be your photographer for the day and introducing me to Greenville, Indiana. Have a great Easter… and congrats on the new little one that’s coming!!!!!!

A few weekends ago – i headed out to Henderson, KY to take pictures of one of my best friends and her family. Downtown Henderson is actually pretty cute – and we got some great shots. I love heathers family.. so fun.. lots of laughter. And their family is so close – they are great to be with – you feel like part of the family :) . If they didn’t live all the way in Henderson- i would be over there for dinner!! Here is Heather and her sister, Holly – who is a bit of a pincher (she gets me every time).

And this is something that amazes me in this family – all of them are great with kids. Kids love them – not just their own – lots of kids. Here is a behind the scenes photo of the family working hard to get the kids to laugh.

But the funny part is that once the kids see grandpa – that will be the only one they want! On his lap is the best place to be.

He’s such a troublemaker – ha – he is totally splashing those babies on this cold day.

Wanna know the secret to a great family-parents who love each other and are committed to each other. They would say that their relationship to Jesus makes it all possible. I love laughter -this is one of my favorite photos
