One of my favorite places in Crestwood is the Kavanaugh Retreat Center. I have been here numerous times for weddings, retreats, church events, women’s weekends – lots of great memories at Kavanaugh. One my most favorite memories is Disciple Now.. a youth event through my church that i directed for 8 years. Last year was my last time directing this Youth weekend. One my mentors told me that you know you have led well.. if you have put things in place so that it continues well after you have gone. It was awesome to see that Disciple Now is still going well without me. I think we all desire to be in the spotlight or applauded for what we accomplished but I was so thrilled to see it go so well..because it’s not about me. I was content to be out of the spotlight and in the shadows – thankful that i got to play a part in what it has become
