Had such a great day all around Louisville. The weather was a little crazy – rain then sunshine then rain again.. haha. That’s the Louisville River valley for you
. Yet, we were able to get a great photographs despite the Louisville weather. Looking forward to her wedding which is coming up so soon!! Here are some of my favorite engagement photos.

Emily + Luke | Louisville Wedding Photographer
July 10, 2010One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is taking engagement photos. The engagement photo session allows the photographer to get to know the bride and groom and get a feel for who they are before the wedding. I also find that engagement sessions helps the bride and groom become more comfortable with their wedding photographer so that you end up with some amazing shots. That’s what happened with Emily and Luke as they began to be comfortable with me and get creative and make suggestions by their end of their shoot. So enjoyed getting to know them. And i am looking forward to their Louisville WEDDING in just a few weeks!!!
We spent the day in Louisville and had so much fun. Luke really surprised me when he showed up with his uniform on.. it totally changed the game plan for the day! And we went to Old Louisville and St. James Park to match what he was wearing with the best background. Here are some of my favorites.
I love Emily’s sass!! Her personality is so bubbly and fun.. she is adorable. I like how Luke is keeping his composure.. “like he has been trained”… but i think he may have a soft spot for some little cutey!!

And since they were dressed for the part.. we just had to try and redo a classic shot. Pretty close.. We did pretty good from memory!!

i loved the shoes!!

Can’t wait for your WEDDING in a few weeks!!!

July 8, 2010Amanda is the bride that has got everything together.. she booked me as her wedding photographer about 16 months in advance! Her Louisville wedding is coming this October and I just know it will be fabulous!!! We had an amazing engagement photography session at Yew Dell Gardens, just outside of Louisville. The flowers and barn style buildings at Yew Dell made for great photographs. Here are some of my favorites:

I just love their interactions with each other.. so cute.
So, brett made fun of me for having them lay in this hallway
but they are some of my favorite photos. Look at them rocking it out!! hello hotties

Gorgeous!!

Ellie | Louisville Family Photographer
July 1, 2010Let me introduce you to a little precious girl… Ellie. i was just thinking how i hadn’t done any baby pictures in a while when i got a call from the King family and walla.. i had the wonderful gift of celebrating a newborn
!! Here are some of my favorites from the family photography shoot we did last week in Louisville.

her big brother had to get in the mix too!!

These next pictures began with this statement. Me (hesistantly).. ‘well. i have an idea but i’m not sure about it… ‘ (I was kinda scared to even suggest it. ) She said, oh what is it? Me… “well. i would love to have to her above the family sign but that may be too scary.” Mom. “She barely moves- she will be fine. That is a great idea.” I was pretty excited.. and mom was completely right she didn’t even move.. except to cry eventually from being on a hard surface. And they are some of my favorite pictures.

It was actually more fearsome for baby brother to hold her.. haha. he tried to hold her nicely tho.. he just wasn’t sure what to do with her ![]()

More faves….

Thanks King family.. i enjoyed getting to know you and celebrating your new little girl!!! long day.. wasn’t it ellie? ![]()
